Ulviyya Taghizade

Ulviyya Taghizade was born in Baku, Azerbaijan. MS in International relations and regional studies (Baku Slavic University).

Worked at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Prague. Was participating in and organizing various charity and fundraising events under the umbrella of diplomatic corp in Czech Republic and Great Britain. Volunteering with “Hear Woman. Gargar foundation”, charity working on gender awareness and educational projects in UK and Somalia.

Fariz Huseynov

Fariz Huseynov is Professor of Finance at the College of Business at North Dakota State University. He teaches various finance courses in corporate finance, investments and portfolio management, and international finance. His research interests are empirical corporate finance, corporate governance, and international finance.

He currently works on projects related to capital structure decisions, corporate tax avoidance,

and price informativeness of financial markets. He
is also the Faculty Fellow for the Challey Institute
for Global Innovation and Growth where

he studies post-war economic and financial development policies.
Professor Huseynov has published his research in impactful journals, such as the Journal of Corporate Finance, Review of Corporate Finance Studies,

Financial Management, and the International Review of Economics and Finance. He regularly serves as a referee for high-ranked journals in the field of finance. He also occasionally shares his views through various media programs in Azerbaijan to contribute to the development of his country of origin.

Professor Huseynov received college-wide awards for teaching, research, and engagement. He served in the University Faculty Senate and the NDSU Research Council. He also served as a faculty adviser for the NDSU’s student managed investment fund where students apply their classwork into real world settings via managing a portfolio of about $1.3 million assets. He holds a doctoral degree from the University of Memphis and an MBA degree from Ball State University.

Ulvi Pepinova-Nemanzadeh

Ulvi made her home in Britain for two decades which she spent studying and working in business and political advocacy environment. For the last eight years she runs an educational provider, enjoys glass painting on the side, and is an active member of the British Azerbaijani community. www.ulvi.co.uk.
Ulvi also runs a memorial website, a project dedicated to her great grandfather Omar Faig Nemanzadeh who was the mastermind and one of the founding fathers of the first satirical magazine of the Muslim East “Molla Nasreddin”. Dr Sabina Rakcheyeva

Winner of “The Best Violinist of the Year” competition
in Baku, first recipient of “Artist in Residence” Award from the Fund of Mutual Understanding in New York,
Dr Sabina Rakcheyeva is first ever Azerbaijani to be accepted to the prestigious Juilliard School in New York. She has performed in over 40 countries, for the Presidents of the European Commission, Azerbaijan, Russia, Romania, United Nations Secretary-General and Prince of Liechtenstein, as well as the members of the British Royal family.

An advocate orchestra player, Rakcheyeva was a concertmaster of the International Youth Chamber Orchestra in Germany, and a founding member of UBS Verbier Orchestra. Sabina’s interests expand beyond performance only; she is a member of the European Cultural Parliament and has completed her PhD in Cultural diplomacy at SOAS (University of London).
She has served as the Cultural Advisor at The European Azerbaijan Society and the Arts Global Foundation. As
a cultural consultant, Sabina has facilitated numerous projects and organised several concerts across Europe and the United States. She regularly gives lectures and advises companies and individuals on cultural policies.
